Mevvvos is in love. Not just a little bit in love, but really, truly, head-over-heels in love. He tells everyone that he knows for sure that he and Ootje belong together that the opposite is unimaginable. Everything in his body screams out that what he feels must be the truth. Everything screams out, but there is nothing we can hear.
Ootje Sei is an animated and heart-warming theatrical production about love and being sure that you know something for sure and daring to put everything aside to get what you want. Not only Mevvvos, but the audience is an accomplice to the union (or failure to unite) of these two lovers.
Sanne Zweije started her career as an actress with Theatergroep DOX. Here she was trained to create theatrical productions and was involved in several shows. She assisted Monique Corvers at Het Filiaal, with Geen Bijen Geen Fruit, which was performed at the Oerol Festival on Terschelling and other locations. Her first own miniature production Gluur took place in a sea container at the Over het IJ Festival in 2007. The following summer, she expanded the production for the Boulevard theatre festival. Sanne has worked independently since then as a theatrical producer and actress.
