Those who know Paulien and Arno Dieteren often think back to distinct concerts by The Contraint Ensemble and their surprising musical theatre productions.

Cultura Nova cherishes special memories of the impressive performance of Das Schwein mit der Geige in Heerlen's 'air-raid shelter' - the Heerlen theatre parking garage. It was a performance that gave the festival a clear direction in which to develop.

Paulien and Arno Dieteren have put together an ensemble, consisting largely of ex Contraint players, for a special concert during Cultura Nova. This ensemble will play a number of hits from the Contraint Ensemble repertoire. 

Publishing house Huis Clos very much wanted to write a book about The Contraint Ensemble's turbulent developments. This book will be presented before the concert.
