The Family Table

Workshop presentation

It is sure to be a special encounter. The presentation is a ten-day workshop in which seniors from the Sevagram House and students from the Arcus Art Theatre and Media (KTM) can participate. Young and old will mix and mingle while the public pulls up a chair at the big table. There will be cooking, singing and dancing.

Using a suitcase filled with photos, clothes and other personal items, every participant will be given the opportunity to share their own unique life story. Like life itself, some of the stories are tragic, some are hilarious, but all are fascinating. You don't need any experience for this performance, but please bring an open heart and lots of generosity and love!

David Maayen is an Israeli director who believes that theatre borders on reality. His performances and presentations are controversial, humorous and absurd. You will leave his performances in a state of confusion, which is exactly what he wants. His work is a reflection of Israeli society; both heterogeneous and explosive.
