Spread the word… the circus is in town!
During Cultura Nova 2025, Be Flat took their show LIVING circus beyond the boundaries of public space to various locations within the Sevagram care home. This young Belgian circus company is currently working on a new 360° urban circus show called SKWAIR; the premiere of this show won’t take place until 2028. So we’ll have to be patient for a little while longer. But don’t worry: in the run-up to this large-scale outdoor show, Be Flat is visiting us with CUISTAX.
CUISTAX is a mobile go-kart complete with bells and whistles and a four-metre-high Chinese pole. During Cultura Nova, this playful spectacle will be criss-crossing Heerlen, on the lookout for anyone who hasn’t yet caught the circus bug. With pop-up performances packed with acrobatics and live music, CUISTAX gets the city in the mood to discover the contemporary, urban sports-inspired twist that Be Flat brings to the circus. But feel free to see this cheerful cart as a modern twist on the circus tradition, designed to let everyone know that the circus is in town. So spread the word…
