A hopeful street performance by a brass ensemble and two percussionists.
The French music company Cie. Du Coin travels the world with performances that begin subtly but, through interaction with the audience, culminate in a powerful, polyphonic finale. In *95% Mortel* , the artists use music to portray the dreams, successes, disappointments and setbacks of a generation that wanted to change the world and realised that the time for that has actually passed, yet nevertheless continues to hold on to hope.
With 95% Mortel, Cie. du Coin seeks to offer an artistic response to the complexity of change and to the transformations currently taking place in our world. Not as fixed, limited facts, but as an invitation to look beyond. 95% Mortel is about movement and taking the leap into the unknown – with a smile! So what answer can we formulate?
An answer from musicians and street artists.
A response from musicians and artists. A response that shifts, transforms, energises and speaks of beauty. Because it’s all about responding, always. Not solving, but responding.
