Come and play along with La Kermesse

The French theatre company La Machine, together with La Famille LaFlamme, brings the creative atmosphere of the traditional funfair to Cultura Nova. On the Festival Square, the actors will take you on a journey past funny and surprising attractions from days gone by, to which they give a playful, fiery twist. 

Meet Le Brûle Chandelle (the candle burner) at a gathering place for sharpshooters. Forget the traditional rifle – here, you have to hit the pieces of paper with a spark gun. At La Pêche à la Flamme (the flame fisherman), the plastic ducks of the past have made way for small, glowing boats. Can you catch their flame using the fire-resistant fishing rods? La Catapulte (the catapult) is for anyone overcome by pyromaniac tendencies. The attraction is ready and waiting to provide some relief – provided you can keep your concentration. And then there’s La Fer de Lance (the spearhead): an iron thrown along a rail, creating flames depending on the thrower’s skill. The higher it goes, the better!

With La Kermesse, La Famille LaFlamme takes you back to the carefree world of your childhood. Each stall offers a unique experience full of humour, wonder and fun. Together, they form an imaginative world where play, fire and theatre come together in a special way. These fairground attractions are a real treat. And the best bit is: everyone can join in, whatever your age!
