The Lobster (16+)

Buitenspiegel is back at the Aambos! In collaboration with Cultura Nova and SCHUNCK , Filmhuis De Spiegel is screening Yorgos Lanthimos’s darkly comic love story *The Lobster* – which won the Audience Award at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival – on the hillside in the woods .

In the strange near-future setting of *The Lobster*, it is forbidden to go through life as a single person. Singles are rounded up and must find a partner within a set timeframe. Fail to do so? You’ll be turned into an animal and released into the woods. The Aambos provides a thrilling backdrop for this slightly absurd film with horror elements, which makes viewers reflect on love and relationships in today’s society. This year we’re going back to basics, so please bring your own chair, snacks and drinks. As always with our open-air screenings: we’ll keep an eye on the weather and let you know in good time!
